This is a wonderful script. Children will particularly enjoy it but the entire family can enjoy it together. It would make an interesting animated or possibly live-action film. The story includes talking groundhogs, doves, gnats, etc. A groundhog named Victor is very popular and some of the lady groundhogs are interested in marrying him. The delightful thing about this story is that the animals who Noah attempts to save in his ark are characters with personalities who can talk in this script. Some of them face the challenge of rising water under the earth and also making it to the ark in time of course. And of course once the word spreads not every creature initially believes the reports of a coming flood and pending doom.
In a cute scene a groundhog named Gilbert warns the female Caroline that she needs to escape on the ark due to the coming flood. She replies that even if his ridiculous story were true, she wouldn’t go with him if he were the last groundhog on earth. “But I am going to be the last groundhog on earth!” he tells her.
In addition, the theme of believing in one’s self is featured in the manuscript, as a bird learns how to fly. Another theme is that God can use all kinds of personalities as Gilbert the groundhog winds up lining up the animals two by two. And it is also a story of sacrifice. This manuscript is recommended for all ages and if a possible movie is filmed correctly the few scenes of violence can be handled like the script, in a humorous way. We award this manuscript our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal.
