“Astro Boy” will propel your family into a wonderful world of imagination. This movie soars. I found it to be entertaining, funny, imaginative, and I enjoyed the ninety plus minutes immensely. Astro Boy, like many of us, faces his doubts and wonders if he truly has what it takes to make a difference in the world, especially considering the fact he is not human but is a created being with added human characteristics. But he makes some friends along the way who tend to be the kind of friends we all long for, loyal and true. With great enemies to face, and the safety of the planet at stake, Astro Boy will soon learn what he is truly made of. The film includes several great shots of Astro Boy ascending into the sky and the animation is terrific.

Dove gladly awards this film our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages twelve plus due to some violence but it is set in an imaginary world and most kids will be fine watching the film.
