Dove Review

When Matt’s mom sends him to the woods to check on his grandfather and give him papers to sign, his trip to the back woods is not a quick as he wishes. His grandfather, Jake, has a different idea for this young lawyer and city boy, one that Matt will never forget.

As Jake forces Matt to stay in his cabin without electricity, gas, running water or a phone, Matt meets nature with full force and gets to have a look at what his grandfather is really about. This results in their relationship turning in a different direction than the original strained one they had.

This is a movie about family, and coming to terms with death and illness. How we do it is between God and ourselves, but along the way of life we all have choices: where we live, how we live and who we love. This movie shows how a grandfather helps his grandson with these decisions. We award this movie the Dove “Family-Approved” 12+ Seal for ages 12 and older.
