Bakers Hawk

Because he's the son of a political leader in town, Billy Baker struggles to fit in. When he rescues an injured hawk from the prying eyes of a hunting fox, Billy takes the hawk - against the advice of his father - to Mr. McGraw, the outcast who has a way with animals. As the two nurses the hawk back to health, the bond between boy, bird and misunderstood recluse sparks newfound confidence and courage in Billy.

Dove Review

This is a nice family film with some lessons about taking the law into your own hands and the consequences that can result. Also it is a story about taking care of animals and the patience it takes to heal them. The Utah scenery in this movie displays nice locations which include a couple of national forests. And the scenes with Ives and Montgomery and the animals are the best part of the film.

This is a story of nature and the early west in the young America. We award this film the Dove “Family-Approved” 12+ Seal for ages 12 years and older due to some scenes which may be frightening to younger children. This DVD is well worth viewing.
