The Thompsons are a hard working family and have their ups and downs while living in Canada during that country’s depression era. This film captures the feelings of their youngest daughter Booky (a nickname for Beatrice) when she has her first crush on a new boy in her class. But the story also portrays the thoughts and feelings of other family members as they find themselves in difficult situations during that era.

This film is entertaining and family oriented with life lessons taught which reflect the time period. We award this film the Dove “Family Approved” Seal for all ages.
