“Your Love Never Fails” is the story of a woman named Laura Conners (Elisa Donovan) who has moved her daughter Kelsey (Kirstin Dorn) with her to New York, following a life in Texas while married to Dylan (Brad Rowe). The funny thing is that neither Dylan nor Laura took the time to finalize a divorce. Laura has become a successful candidate for VP at a bank and Dylan continues to live life on the ranch he loves. When he decides he cannot go on seeing his daughter just a couple of times a year, he sues for custody rights and Laura travels back home with her daughter to resolve the matter.
Once back home she begins to realize how much she has missed her simple life there in addition to her husband, Dylan. It is not all friendly at first, but both Dylan and Laura realize they are still attracted to each other. This wonderful film deals with family values, making difficult decisions, forgiveness, and includes a fine though brief sermon from the local pastor, Pastor Frank, played nicely by John Schneider. The pastor makes a nice comment which is, “The goal of God’s command is love.” The film is wholesome with an outcome that is satisfying without being predictable.
This film contains some wonderful music and to quote one of the characters “Family values. Wow! I like it!” We are pleased to award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to this DVD and happily recommend it for the entire family. We also award it five Doves, our highest rating.
