Here is a dramatic story of one young woman’s strength in her faith to get her through the toughest of times. Judith was a soldier in Iraq which gave her a closeness with her father who was a Vietnam Veteran. But her biggest endurance was the relationship with her four older brothers. The brothers always think that it was unfair that Judith was their father’s favorite but little did they know why or even try to find out about their father or their sister. When it comes to war sometimes people don’t want to know what really happens, until it is too late.
There are many lessons taught in this film for it is a story of faith, heroism and courage along with the importance of eternal life and family. It also is a tale of the sadness that jealousy can bring into people’s lives when they do not understand the truth. We are proud to award “Flag of My Father” the Dove Seal for a ages of 12 and older due to the mature topic of war.
