“Spy Kids 4: All the time in the World” is an action-packed whirlwind which kids twelve and over everywhere will enjoy. The kids will love these characters they can relate to, such as Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook), who squabble like real brothers and sisters but protect one another when the chips are down. Even the Spy Kids of the past, Carmen (Alexa Vega) and Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara) join the fun and help Spy Mom Marissa (Jessica Alba) who comes out of retirement long enough to try and stop a super villain who is determined to freeze people in time while he fulfills a secret wish.
The movie features a central theme of honoring the moments in our lives from the past as we can’t go back but equally important is the message to not waste the present time that we have. There is a lot of fantasy violence which includes Cecil using powerful gloves to punch out the lights of the villains in addition to lightning swirls which Rebecca uses to knock the bad guys around. We advise parents to read our content chart below before taking younger children to the film.
Due to the important themes of moving on in life and yet honoring special moments from the past, and the theme of not wasting time, in addition to the film’s overall wholesomeness, we are more than pleased to award this fast-paced and special effects extravaganza our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal. Make sure you take the “time” to see it!
