Synopsis

Featuring four episodes that focus on the bonds Babar shares with his pals and family, in each of the adventures on BEST FRIENDS FOREVER, the Elephant King discovers important lessons on love, friendship, teamwork and understanding. In “City Ways” Babar, alone and confused in the big city, is befriended by the Old Lady who teaches him how to fit into the human world; in “Between Friends”, Babar remembers about the time his future wife Celeste and his friend Zephir had an accident and ended up in court; Cornelius and Pompadour have a major disagreement and vow to never speak again (although the most certainly do!) in “Friendly Agreement” and in “An Elephant’s Best Friend”, Babar excitedly finds a pet warthog in the jungle, but reluctantly returns it.

Dove Review

Based on characters created by Jean and Laurent de Brunhoff, Babar is an animated series that teaches valuable lessons to your youngsters. This DVD contains four stories from the lovable TV series that everyone will enjoy. The stories are about friendship and accepting differences in others. Whether you are from another place or you have a disagreement with a friend, this collection will show how one can work out the problems that face us in everyday life.

Babar is the king of Celestville and as he remembers situations of his younger days he tells of the problem at hand and how the situations are solved. This collection deals with the values of being true to one’s self, and makes the point that sometimes friends have disagreements. This DVD promotes taking responsibility for an accident, and that one should not let a bully rule one’s life. There are many valuable lessons that are taught in this charming series for young and old alike.

We are proud to award the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages to Babar and know you and your family with enjoy the episodes as much as I did with mine.
