This is an amazing movie! Families everywhere need to watch this. It deals with the subject of loss, something every family can relate to.
Devin Wheeler had been married a short time and bought a diary for his bride so she and he could journal about their first year of marriage together. When tragedy strikes, Devin must deal with life without her. Instrumental in his wife’s death are some young men, fleeing from stabbing and robbing a youth pastor. Interestingly, Devin and the youth minister, Matt, unknowingly cross paths and it becomes evident they might be able to help each other find peace. Their paths cross when Devin kindly returns Matt’s father’s lost wallet which he finds, along with insisting that he receive no reward for doing the right thing. Actor Ian Hutton is terrific as Devin.
This film contains a stirring message of compassion along with a Christian theme and we highly recommend it. No doubt about it-we are awarding this one five Doves. Although it contains a few tense family scenes, and is not intended for very young viewers, we are recommending it for all ages. It’s themes of compassion and forgiveness and faith are praiseworthy.
