Here is a story of hope after life knocks the props from underneath you. Elizabeth’s dad, Steve, loves her dearly as does her mom, Laura. Elizabeth is a special little girl. She prays for her mother and father at bedtime, is always sweet, and her favorite book is a book about angels. She goes to spend the night with her friend Amy and during a ride at an amusement park tragedy strikes when Elizabeth dies from an enlarged heart.
Steve and Laura must pick up the pieces. Steve fights bitterness and then Laura begins to “see” Elizabeth, who leads her to two homeless people, a woman and a little girl known as “Punkin”. The woman, Tilly, has helped look out for Punkin. However, as Laura’s attachment to the little girl grows, it soon becomes apparent that an evil man wants to kidnap the little girl for his own devious devices, mainly to find out where something is he wants, something he believes Punkin knows about.
This is a story of faith and renewed hope and the characters face some close calls as they make their various journeys. Ultimately the question is asked: is Elizabeth helping the family out, even though she is gone?
This DVD features nice themes including perseverance, love, and forgiveness in addition to fighting for a good cause. We are pleased to award it our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages twelve plus.
