Dove Review

This DVD needs to be seen by people who have struggled in the aftermath of having had an abortion and by those who haven’t because everyone needs the education which this powerful DVD provides. We highly recommend this one for ages twelve and above, due to some intense stories and scenes.

Women like Jane Brennan, author of “Motherhood Interrupted” share their story. Jane said she liked hearing the message that she had power over her own body but eventually realized the devastation of abortion and the stripping away of rights of the unborn child. Other women share stories of the coldness of nurses and doctors as they performed abortion procedures and a woman who made a lot of money off it acknowledges that many women are manipulated to go through with an abortion when it is obvious they are struggling with the decision. Some women were purposely given low dose birth control pills, the kind in which missing one pill would be enough for a woman to become pregnant

Several women share stories of promiscuous sex and drinking and drug use, and there is a re-enactment of a woman using drugs in a pipe but what is glorious is the conversion of these same women who now have a new heart after their turning to Christ. They all deal with the abortions too, some of which were multiple abortions, by acknowledging the child who was killed. They have memorial services and remember the names of those who never got to be born. One woman states she knows she will see her child in heaven. The tears flow freely in this DVD and these women display genuine pain and regret. A few ladies mention the aborted babies are the only children they ever had. These ladies learn to forgive themselves too as they realize the forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
