Ida wants to know who her father is and knowing that he was associated with a rodeo, she joins up with the “Sweethearts of the Rodeo”, a troupe of female trick riders, in search of her dad. She is a rather headstrong young girl and probably gets this trait from her mother. When times become tough and her mother must take a job away from town for a short time, she allows Ida to join the show, not realizing her real intent.
Ida is fairly precocious but dedicated to her cause and does what is necessary in her mind to achieve her goals. In some cases, this is attempted through dishonesty but in each circumstance real consequences seem to thwart her plans. Finally as lessons are learned, she matures into a caring and responsible young lady.
We are pleased to award this wonderful and inspiring movie our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages. “Cowgirls n’ Angels” is a great movie for all ages so encourage your family to take a ride with Ida and find out who you really are.
