Here is a documentary which is contemporary, relevant, and fun to watch! We learn a lot about the electric car, with the setting of a girl named Julie Smith doing a term paper on the topic. We hear from experts and those who own electric cars and we learn there is a lot to like. A little bit of history is featured as Henry Ford and his automobile plant is mentioned and we get to see a clip of President Carter talking about the oil crisis many years ago.
The documentary includes humorous moments such as a person wondering, if people bought an electric car, “won’t they need a really long extension cord?” We learn that electric cars can go much further on a charge than some people realized and how easy they are to charge. We also hear from experts about how pollutants and emissions are dramatically reduced thanks to electric cars, not to mention the money that is saved by not having to buy gas. This is timely due to high gas prices. This documentary is well done and features several examples of electric cars including very small ones and an electric truck. We are pleased to award this fascinating look at tomorrow our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages. Watch it soon and you just might be impressed with how the future is looking.
