The Last Leprechaun
Ethel and Tommy are spending the summer in Ireland with their father’s new fiancée, a dreadful woman named Laura (Veronica Hamel) and her spooky butler, Simpson (David Warner). The kids are worried that their vacation is doomed—until they meet Finn McCool, the last of the leprechauns. Together they discover that Laura is actually an evil spirit with a hidden agenda and they are soon wrapped up in an adventure that will require a little bit of smarts and a whole lot of luck!
This movie shows that a family’s love can destroy evil! This fantasy-filled movie makes a point with its symbolism, and that is that there is evil in the world which must be fought and stood up to. The heroes are the kids in the movie and Finn McCool, the last of the leprechauns, guides them in Ireland which leads to an adventure they never planned on.
There are some frightening scenes for younger children and one strong utterance of language so we are recommending this movie for ages twelve plus. We are pleased to award the film our Dove Seal. Join the wee people (leprechauns and kids) and enjoy this adventure in the comfort of your home!
