Tyler Perry plays Detroit detective Alex Cross, based on the novels written by James Patterson. Cross is a detective and psychologist. He never had to face a villain such as he does in the form of a killer played by Matthew Fox. He is a pattern killer who uses a drug to paralyze his victims and then he inflicts great pain on them before killing them. He cuts the fingers and thumbs off one woman, and uses one of the thumbs to gain access to a secure system. Cross cares deeply about his pregnant wife and kids.
However, he never dreamed how ruthless this killer could be. The killer sends Cross a message: “When you set out for revenge, dig two graves.” “That’s fine,” replies Cross, “as long as one of them is yours.” It will take everything Cross can muster to stop this homicidal killer from wreaking more havoc on the streets of Detroit. Unfortunately, due to excessive language and violence, as well as overt sexuality we are unable to award this movie our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal.
