I Was Broken

"I Was Broken" is a faith-based drama about two brothers torn apart by a family tragedy. Jesse, a homeless-ex-convict with a hardened heart, walks the streets bearing the guilt of a life changing decision he made years ago, and his brother Wayne, a widower with strong faith, struggling with the memories of the life he once had. After a spiritual awakening, Jesse shows up at Wayne's home. Together again, they're now forced to deal with the lingering pain of the past, while trying to repair their relationship with God and each other.

Dove Review

This movie stresses the importance of forgiveness and redemption. Wayne and Jesse were brothers but Jesse had a drinking problem and his problems lead to two tragic deaths. He and Wayne are at odds and Jesse is sent to prison. When Jesse gets out three years later he battles his drinking problem again and his suicidal thoughts.

We are recommending this movie for ages twelve plus due to sophisticated themes and we are pleased to award it our Dove Seal. It features a nice scene near the end of a man reaching out to God in prayer and reading the Bible. Watch this one and soon.
