Bad Neighborhood

The faith of all Christians is tested daily. When that faith is a test from God, how quick will we respond? How much can we take before we abandon our faith? What is our human breaking point? Yet, many times we expect God to respond quickly….but is waiting on God part of the test?

The Granthams are a typical Christian family. Both Doug and Barb have good jobs. The couple has two well-behaved middle-school children, being brought up in a nice Christian environment. The family attends church together and regularly in their comfortable and safe neighborhood in Mound City, FL. Doug and Barb are members of their church choir and are happily looking forward to performing a Christmas concert for an inner city church in neighboring Ocean City.

Doug, who Barb refers to as her Boy Scout, has everything planned for a safe, family night out, including a special dinner with their children at their favorite Mexican restaurant after the concert. But, regardless of his plans for the evening, events transpire that will test the faith of the entire family.

Despite all of the planning to the contrary, Barb finds herself stranded in a Bad Neighborhood and under, what she believes to be, attack. Doug is not around to protect her. She has no one to call on but God. She cries out for help from Him. She has only her prayers to guard her. As events unfold, she loses faith, thinking that God has abandoned her, or has He?

Dove Review

This is a neat story with a surprise ending. Doug and Barb Grantham are Christians and plan to perform in a Christmas concert at an inner city church in Ocean City, Florida. They are told it is a bad neighborhood but they plan to still go. Dough warns his wife Barb to get some gas but she hurries to work and forgets. Then, her boss adds extra duties to her at quitting time and she is going to be late for the concert. On top of this (you guessed it) she does run out of gas. When she sees an African American man approach the car she is terrified. However, God shows His providence as she gets a surprise. The ending song about keeping faith when one is waiting for a harvest and a new dawn is inspiring.

This movie contains Christian values and people praying and we are pleased to award it our Family Approved Seal for ages twelve plus. Watch this one soon. It has the power to build your faith.
