Dove Review
This is a unique DVD in that it incorporates children talking through their grief following the death of close loved ones. They tell their stories, explain what they believe grief is, the worries and challenges and what has helped including advice they would pass on. The belief in life after death is mentioned.
One child shares a belief in reincarnation and one child states she doesn’t believe in life after death and a boy says he doesn’t believe in Hell. On the other hand, several children do believe in Heaven and in God and say so.
This could be a good DVD to help children deal with grief, if parents share guidance in using it as a tool. We are pleased to award this our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages but due to the emotional subject matter we encourage parents to not only watch this with their kids but take the time afterwards to discuss the issues brought forth in the film. This one can help during a difficult time.
