Garfield Gets Real

Follow our Tubby as he takes the plunge and flees his comfortable cartoon for the "real world" on the other side of the newspaper. Escaping the boredom of cartoon life, Garfield soon realizes that real-life felines don't enjoy nearly the same benefits as cartoon cats do... as bloodthirsty chihuahuas and bodybuilding canines challenge him at every turn. But with the help of some new outlandish pals and some trusted old friends, Garfield's wacky adventures teach him that reality isn't just in the real world, it's where his heart is.

Dove Review

The lovable Garfield decides he is bored with his life and his job. With that decision he jumps from the cartoon world through a hole in a comic strip to the real world. This shocks him into realizing that there is no place like home and he starts the journey of trying to get back.

I was not as impressed with”Garfield the Real World” as I have been in the past with many of his other adventures. ‘The humor is more in taking falls or Odie getting kicked which I am sure kids will love. But as for me, I was hoping for more. Still, it has good points and this movie is awarded the Dove Seal.
