Dove Review

This DVD is jam packed with humor. You will watch some of these comedians and, as a viewer, wonder why they are entering an amateur contest. Six comedians perform for you and for judges Chonda Pierce, Bone Hampton and Thor Ramsey, all of whom have a background in comedy and humor.

The field has been narrowed down to six from twenty seven, and the top three receive honors with the winner receiving special honors, the opportunity to make his own comedy DVD. Matt Falk, Joey I.L.O. Aielloa, Jim Tice, local Canadian Chris Gursche, Matt Perry and finally Cleto Rodriguez compete to win the top spot in this event which took place in Canada. The humorous topics range from on how women and their needs are portrayed in TV commercials, one of the comedian’s fathers who say paradoxical things such as, “You’re a good comedian, not funny, but you’re good.” Repetitive prayers are examined, embarrassing moments, life in Detroit, Michigan, girlfriends, and other topics which produce a lot of laughs such as the topic of puberty.

The DVD is fun from the get go and has minor content to be concerned about, which is listed below. We are pleased to award our Dove Seal to this program and we heartily recommend it for all ages, while noting that the very young might not get as much out of it as older kids and adults will. It is big-time fun.
