Dove Review

“Love Begins” is a fun family drama that has a simple story of faith and finding one’s true desires. Anyone familiar with Janette Oke’s “Love…” book series will be pleased by this new rendition of how it all began. Filled with plain moral messages, it is sure to inspire families to care more about the important things in life.

The film begins with Clark and a friend getting into a fight in the local diner. As a result, they are put in jail by the town’ sheriff. In order to pay off his debt, Clark must work at a farm owned by Ellen. Her father passed away recently and she needs a hired hand to fix a few things. During his stay there with Ellen and her sister, Clark and Ellen fall in love. But, when her former boyfriend returns from his search for gold, Ellen must make a choice between the two men that will change their lives forever.

We are pleased to award this moving family drama our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages 12 and over.
