Hurleyville: Episode 3

As Hurleyville's annual cupcake eating contest grows near, Kyle (Austin Battles) is put to the ultimate test. Although small in stature, he comes from a long line of cupcake eating champions. Kyle feels intense pressure to win this contest as he competes against Riley (Josh Maguire), who is trying to sabotage the competition. The girls of Hurleyville are having a blast at Hazel's slumber party, until they begin to play a new video game titles "Predictions". This crazy game predicts their future and unfortunately the future isn't looking too bright for any of them. Meanwhile, Mark Collins (Will Gray), finds himself lured in by Hurleyville's most successful and persuasive used car salesman, Arnie Delbert (Trey Harper). Mark is convinced he deserves a new sports car as his wife, Rebekah (Sarah Gray), tries to convince him there is something suspicious about Arnie. Will Kyle find the strength to rise to the occasion or will he crack under the mounting pressure? Will the girls realize that nothing has control over their lives except for God or will their friendships be destroyed forever? Will Mark seek God's guidance in this important decision or will Arnie's mesmerizing salesmanship lead Mark down the wrong path?

Dove Review

This is a terrific video to showcase the theme of forgiveness. In the DVD several friends are enthralled with a video game which makes predictions about what they should do and what will take place in the future. But as the story advances in its plot the friends realize they shouldn’t listen to predictions from a video game, and they display friendship and forgiveness. Eventually they look once more for God’s guidance in their lives.

We are pleased to award this theme-based DVD our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages. This episode is well worth watching!
