This is a terrific drama regarding the message of a person living according to the Player’s Manual, God’s word, when it comes to dating and how the opposite sex is treated and is also about the decisions we make and the impact those decisions have.
So the DVD features two stories in it, the first one is about a hip young man named Romeo who deceives several women at the same time, making each one think they are the love of his life. He gets a few of them pregnant too. Eventually Romeo is caught in a trap and suffers the consequences including a woman he really cares about not wanting anything to do with him.
In the second story Sam Lopez is tired of being broke. He and cousin Freddy have had their fill of it. So Sam does whatever it takes to gain wealth, including becoming involved in drug trafficking. The day comes when Sam is finally tired of the life and what it has done to others, so he decides to go legitimate and open a real business, a restaurant. There is only one problem: his past catches up to him.
The content is strong in this film with sexual innuendos and situations, in addition to the drug-related theme but we can award it our Dove “Faith-Based” Seal with cautions for sexuality and drug use. In one uplifting scene a man explains to another man that he never had sexual relations until he married his wife and that the Bible says the marriage bed is undefiled. The stories in this movie are relevant and clearly show what reaping what one has sown means.
