World War Z
The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.
This film is surely better than many zombie movies in that it deals with an entire world pulling together to halt the zombies from spreading their rabies and infecting the mass population. It features suspense and fine actors, particularly Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, who has to leave his family to help the government in its attempt to defeat the zombies. He travels to north of Bermuda as well as Jerusalem in Israel. Pitt plays Gerry as a compassionate man who has the nerve to cut off a woman’s hand to save her life after she is bitten by a zombie. Still, it is disappointing that it features several utterances of strong language and the violence level definitely places it outside of our “family friendly” perimeters.
