Coming Home for Christmas

Sisters Kate and Melanie haven’t spoken to each other in years since a hurtful scene at Melanie’s wedding. Their parents, Wendy and Al, have let the pain of their daughters’ absence drive a wedge between them, and their tensions have led to a separation. Kate is determined to reunite the entire family for Christmas, and has the perfect spot… their old family home. The only problem is there’s someone else living there now.

Dove Review

Christmas time is always a time for family no matter what. But when two sisters have not spoken to each other in five years it makes the holidays very difficult and this results in the parents’ separating. When Kate gets knowledge of the separation, she takes it upon herself to try and mend “fences” as they say. As the holiday nears she hopes that she can unite the family once again in the old house, because that may bring them all back together.

“Coming Home for Christmas” is a charming story of family, love and being united no matter what. The tale also reveals that sometimes family is what you make of it and it does not always mean “blood” family. But no matter how you describe family, there is a special bond that is important at Christmas that everyone should remember-even if you have a disagreement.

We are proud to award this movie the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
