Dove Review

“Greatest Heroes and Legends of the Bible: Samson And Delilah” is a remarkable movie based on the Scriptures. Charlton Heston introduces the film, mentioning that some people are brought down by their flaws. Yet Samson was used mightily by God, including slaying a thousand Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey, and destroying more with his death than in his lifetime.

The story is well told. It includes Samson’s feats of strength, and makes the point that poor decisions get us into hot water but that God is ever merciful. Samson reveals the secret of his strength to Delilah; his hair, the source of his strength, is cut, but he turns back to God.

We are pleased to award this wonderful film our Faith Friendly Seal for all ages. This is well worth viewing.
