Dove Review

“Transformers: The Last Knight” is the fifth installment of this franchise and features a few good thoughts such as a character’s statement that “without personal sacrifice, there can be no victory” and that anyone stepping forward can wind up being a hero. However, other than this, there are a lot of battles and action for long stretches in the movie, and little else of substance at times. The film includes big name stars such as Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Hopkins, and these two always give a good performance. It is too bad the battle scenes and violence dominate so much of the picture. A little more character development with these marvelous actors would have been refreshing.

Despite the loads of action sequences for those who really enjoy that aspect, the movie includes several sexual innuendos, strong language, and a lot of violence, so we can’t award it our Dove Family-Approved Seal.
