Love or War stars Katie (Sheila Daley), a perfectionist doctor who falls hard for the lighthearted college jock, Brent (Jade Carter). Their relationship has plenty of ups and downs; Brent never keeps a job, while Katie never lets go of hers. Just when their road seems rocky enough, Brent decides to join the Army and is sent overseas on a top-secret mission that will change their lives forever.
Katie wants to save lives on the operating table, and Brent wants to save lives on the battlefield. Their different perspectives cause them to walk in and out of each other’s lives as they refuse to commit to marriage. Their nosy, awkward families don’t help their relationship, either. But all it takes is the fear of losing each other forever for them to realize that love, loyalty and marriage pair together best.
Love or War encourages loyalty and endurance, but heavy, crude language mixed with lots of alcohol abuse and fleeting moral values prevent this movie from being Dove-Approved.
The Dove Take
As a doctor, Katie has plenty of practice facing death, but when the love of her life is sent overseas, her emotions spiral in ways that aren’t appropriate for a young audience.
