Dove Review

Treasures in Heaven challenges readers to understand the reality of heaven, seek after their God-given talents, and use those talents to serve others for the Kingdom of God.

Author Anne Odion walks readers through her own visions and dreams from God that led her to understand that treasures are not what we store up on earth. They aren’t big houses, big cars, or big titles at work. Instead, they are the jewels that we earn when we put others before ourselves, and one day, we are promised that we can lay those jewels at the feet of Jesus. In heaven, we will be able to give back the treasures that God had given to us on earth.

Treasures in Heaven shares Scripture’s best parables on giving, whether with Lazarus and the rich man, the rich young ruler, or the servants in charge of using their talents of gold. She highlights just how temporary earth’s treasures are, but how rewarding and eternal heaven’s riches are.

Odion doesn’t shy away from true servanthood, the kind of service that Christ constantly lived while on earth. She encourages believers to never underestimate what God is doing behind the scenes, either.

The biblical truths and encouraging messages within Treasures in Heaven award this book Dove-approval for All Ages.
