Children of all ages will enjoy this well done film from Max Lucado. Max appears briefly, talking with some of the characters and always making a Biblical point in his conversation. Flo the Fly wants to be liked by everyone and finds getting attention by lying doesn’t have the desired pay-off. God speaks to her, and tells her “I want you to tell the truth, because I love you.” Flo tells God: “Lying makes me feel more important than I really am.” Right here is a teachable moment for parents to enjoy with their children during this delightful video.
When the Beetles arrive, ready to perform a concert for all of bugdom, and Flo has real experiences with them, her friends don’t believe her telling them about the Beetles, because she’s already lied to them so many times. Children will get the message: always tell the truth, no matter what, as Flo the Fly eventually learns. There is a song at the end “Truth Will Set You Free,” as well as Max Lucado speaking Jesus’ words: “I am the way, the truth and the life.” This is a great video, and the teachable moments are delivered amongst delightful creatures flitting and flying and having fun. Children of all ages will enjoy this video.
