Dove Review

**This review is contributed by Super Channel—a channel dedicated to providing integrity and accountability in today’s entertainment.

This feel-good, well-cast movie, together with the delightful onscreen chemistry and the stunning Christmas scenes, will make you care about the characters and their fate as you watch them nurture their friendships and support each other unconditionally.  A happy movie that will entertain the entire family and is Dove approved for all ages.

After another successful day of performing as a singing elf for a Christmas party, Madison O’Hara (Alys Crocker) is excited that her very successful boyfriend Luke (Ish Morris) is flying in just to see her for dinner tonight.  Maddy is sure there is more on the menu than food, and the big question is about to be popped and she is ready!  However, when dinner includes a group of high-class friends and Maddy’s hopes for an intimate evening are ruined, she is done and sadly breaks it off with Luke.

Cooper, who is madly in love with her sees his chance but Luke is not giving up and wows Maddy with a grand dinner in a private studio and presents her with a beautiful diamond necklace.

Maddy is confused… but a little chat with a wise Santa makes her realize that what we wish for could be right before us and she begins to look at her life and the people in it through fresh eyes.

When Cooper secures a spot for her in the local Telethon on Christmas Eve, Luke ups it with a spot at the Blue Velvet where scouts are always circulating to find the next rising star.  Cooper is crushed but says he understands this is a big opportunity for Maddy and her singing career.  Nothing he can do will ever be as good as what Luke can do for her and he wants her to be happy.

Maddy is all ready to go on the Blue Velvet stage when she talks to two very disappointed young people who were bumped so someone else could be accommodated into the Blue Velvet program at the last minute… Maddy is saddened and knows what she must do, for the children at the Telethon, for Cooper, and most of all for her own forever happiness.

The Dove Take

A very sweet movie that will leave you with a happy heart as the storyline emphasizes the importance of nurturing friendships, counting your blessings, and recognizing the perfectly un-perfect love has been at your side all along.
