Love is a Four Letter Word

All may be fair in love and war, but two couples are about to discover that love IS war in "Love is a Four Letter Word," a Hallmark Original Movie premiering just in time for Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 3, 2007.

Emily (Teri Polo) and Kenton (Robert Mailhouse) are divorce lawyers who have soured on the concept of love and marriage altogether. Until, that is, they meet at the wedding of mutual friends and share a romantic evening together. But trouble starts the next morning when they show up for work, only to find that they are on opposing sides of the divorce case of Martin (Barry Bostwick) and Margot Harper (Donna Mills).

Dove Review

Love isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it as portrayed in this Hallmark Channel presentation airing in February. Emily and Kenton fall for one another when they meet at a wedding celebration, and they share a romantic evening, only to learn that they are on opposing sides as attorneys in a divorce case. The story centers on their struggles with love and duty as it does with the fact that the couple divorcing seem to still love each other.

Unfortunately, one thing prevents us from approving this film for family viewing. The lawyers, still single, spend a night together and have a sexual relationship. It’s too bad because we at Dove would like to have approved it but it is a near miss.
