Ring of Glory Wrestling: The Great Commission

The Great Commission. There comes a time when a wrestling show simply isn't just a wrestling show. There comes a time when it just isn't about outstanding athleticism, unique showmanship, layered story lines, intriguing characters or even water-cooler controversy, but rather about heart, struggle and the very being of the men and women who perform. You see, sometimes it isn't just about the "show", sometimes it's about "life."

Dove Review

If you live and breathe professional wrestling, you will love this DVD! “Ring of Glory” is a unique production with two layers. First, of course, is the wrestling, which includes all of the professional wrestling drama you’d expect such as choke holds, body-slamming, clotheslining, good guys versus bad etc. There was no blood or language which made it very clean, but be aware of the type of ‘wrestling’ it is if young viewers are watching.

The second layer takes a Christian spin as it presents the Gospel of Jesus throughout the tournament. Each “character” has a spiritual parallel. For instance, the manager of the ‘bad’ guys represents Satan, while the final wrestler represents Christ. It is definitely a different approach, but a great tool as well. “Ring of Glory” is happily awarded the “Dove Family-Approved Seal”.
