“Island on Bird Street” portrays the life of a Jewish boy during the holocaust. The story takes you back to a terrible time in history and tells you the story of one boy’s survival. Alex meets a few people as he waits for his father and learns about the Polish Underground. It is amazing to watch the different things he uses to survive and the precautions he takes when going out. This movie shows the courage it took for people just to survive and the courage of people that helped them along the way. The acting was great, especially the children, who did an outstanding job playing their roles. Due to the intense theme, we recommend it for ages twelve and above and gladly award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to it.
