Lightsabers sparkle once again and battle droids and clone troopers duel in this animated “Star Wars” film. The story takes place between episodes two and three of the last two “Star Wars” films, “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge of the Sith”, which both received the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages twelve plus. Anakin Skywalker is now a fully trained Jedi knight, and has not yet turned into the famous villain Darth Vader. He is given a padawan learner by Yoda, and he initially doesn’t take to the job. However, his padawan begins to win him over with her “can do” attitude and she winds up helping the Republic in a big way. Anakin is sent to rescue the son of Jabba the Hutt, and the Separatists, led by the vile Count Dooku, make it their goal to trick Jabba into believing the Jedi are actually behind the hutt-napping of his son. The Jedi are determined to show Jabba that they are actually attempting to rescue Jabba’s son. With lightsaber battles, explosions, chases in space, and unending action, we heartily award this film our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages twelve and up, due to some intense action sequences and the use of one strong word.
