Synopsis

Professional thief Kate Dove (Shannen Doherty) takes refuge in her hometown after a heist goes bad. Unwittingly, she is roped into a role unfamiliar to her – babysitter to her sister’s kids during the Christmas holiday. Not the most nurturing or sentimental person, Kate finds herself casing the neighborhood for her next big score. Eventually the comforts of surburban life make her realize family and friends might be better than a life of crime.

Dove Review

Here’s a new movie to add to your Christmas collection. This is a delightful comedy of how going home can change one’s life. Kate is the bad girl type that always pulled the pranks in her hometown. She goes home to hide out, an idea she thought would be perfect after a robbery gone bad. But going home is full of surprises. I love her niece who is always pointing out why the things she was doing were wrong. It is a very charming story that has some valuable lessons. Dove awards the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to this movie.
