Synopsis

Kristin Scott faces the toughest challenge of her life. When she is unfairly blamed for the death of her father, the captain of her firefighting team, she tries to restore her reputation by joining an elite group of firefighters called Smoke Jumpers. As a Smoke Jumper, she parachutes out of airplanes to combat wildfires and save lives, working to earn respect from her team and honor the memory of her father.

Dove Review

We can only imagine the danger that a firefighter may face when it comes to a house fire or even wild fires in the west. This film is a dramatic look at the personal and professional strength that these jobs require. Sometimes the struggles have to be brushed aside by these heroes so they can save lives.

There was a time when woman were not considered for these types of jobs. Kristin Scott takes the viewer with her as she experiences the pressures and trials that she must endure to become a Jumper. Along the way she must earn the respect of the other Jumpers, her family and the entire firehouse where she began her career.

This movie is family approved and is awarded our Dove Seal. Due to some intense scenes of danger involving fires, this film is recommended for ages 12 and above.
