Dove Review

Marmaduke was always the comic strip that everyone loved and now he is on the big screen larger than life. With his family that has moved to California from the Midwest, the lovable dog tries to fit in just as children try to do when there is a move. This talking mutt brings comedy to the adventure.

Owen Wilson brings to life the overgrown dog and Marmaduke means well wherever he goes. There are a variety of familiar voices that make up the cast of animals. This is a hilarious story and a family-friendly tale.

There are some underlying lessons which are learned along the way in this adventure, about the importance of family no matter if they are animal or human, plus that it is okay to be different and always be yourself. I must tell you that there are some dog humor scenes that dog owners may relate to more than other audience members, but overall this is a fun movie for the family. If you love the talking animal movies you will love this. We award the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages to “Marmaduke”.
