Dove Review

We can add one more wonderful DVD to the “Monster Truck Adventures” series! This one, titled “Pushing the Limits”, contains the same great quality as the others in this series.

The DVD features seven episodes. In “Monster Trucking Today” all the kids want to be on a TV show. Dynamic Dan chooses Ponytail. She becomes more interested in herself than her friends and we are reminded of Matthew 22:39 which states a person should love one’s neighbor as one’s self. In the end, Ponytail gives a nice interview and mentions her friends. In episode two, “Where’s Wheelie?” Jose is struggling with tough drills and becomes upset with his substitute teacher and he has a bad attitude. The scripture featured is found in 1 Peter 2:17 which is about showing the proper respect to others.

In episode three, “Snag the Flag”, during this game Meteor’s team runs into some obstacles and a new kid, Forby, helps them out with his fork lift. He removes some rocks and all is well. Joshua 1:9 speaks of being strong and courageous, which is what Forby was in helping his new friends. In “Mending Fences”, episode four, Concrete tells Meteor and the gang stories about building highways and bridges. He later admits to not actually doing these things but he boasted so they would like him. James 3:5 speaks against boasting. In episode five, Pushing the Limits”, the viewer learns the importance of discipline. Meteor meets Big Foot. Meteor believes he is ready to race before he really is and some mud falls on Meteor and he learns a valuable lesson. Hebrews 12:11 speaks about the importance of discipline.

In episode six, “Road Map”, the kids head out to run an errand for Grandpa and they learn really the errand involves a series of clues and they learn and have a fun time at the same time. Proverbs 1:5 is featured, a scripture about increasing in learning. Finally, in episode seven, “Sinker’s Lucky Pump”, Sinker is forced to fill up with the red pump instead of his normal blue. He believes the blue one to be a lucky one. Later he learns, when he has to be fast to save Meteor in a predicament, that he has skills and it is not a matter of luck. Proverbs 3:26 is used, stating the Lord will be our confidence.

This terrific DVD easily receives our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages. Join the gang on an adventure today!
