This movie makes a great point about the grace of God and His love for His Jewish people. As church historians are portrayed from the past, played by the likes of Kevin Sorbo, John Schneider and Stephen Baldwin, we see the Great Reformation got sidetracked when the Jewish nation started being hated by some leaders in the church. This film plainly shows, from scripture, that God loves His elect, the Jewish nation, and that His goal is to ultimately graft Gentiles in and that the status of the church and the Jews will be on equal footing, although the calling of each is distinct.
I found the film to be interesting and timely. I was shocked to learn that past leaders of the church made the mistake of saying a Jewish synagogue was worse than a brothel or that the Jews were once sons of God and became sons of Satan. The point is well made in this documentary that the Reformation is incomplete without the proper view of the Jewish nation. Today if we will pray for the Jew and trust God to complete his promises to them, then we will be ready for the conclusion of God’s plan. We are pleased to award our Dove “Faith-Friendly” Seal to this film for all ages, although it is not intended for the very young. This documentary makes it clear: God loves man, Jew and Gentile, and He has a future plan which includes both. The point is well made that Jesus was Jewish and so were His disciples, those who helped him establish the Christian church. The DVD also features scripture which speaks of future events. This one has earned five Doves from us. “Let the Lion Roar” needs to be seen by every believer!
