Spider-Man – Edited
Tobey Maguire takes on the role of Marvel Comics' hero in the latest version of SPIDER-MAN. Kirsten Dunst plays Mary Jane Watson, or MJ, the girl next-door that Spiderman's alter-ego, Peter Parker, falls for. Following the storyline created by Marvel Comics close enough to please most fans, the film starts with brainy Peter Parker on a high school senior field trip to Columbia University's science labs. The lab is combining DNA strands of diffeent spiders to create a super-spider. One of the genetically-enhanced creatures gets loose and bites Peter, transferring some active DNA material into Peter's blood. Peter soon discovers he's put on some muscle, no longer has to wear glasses, and that he can climb walls and pack a wallop of a punch! He easily wins a wrestling match he enters, to win money, and is dubbed the Amazing Spider-man. Peter uses his powers to catch the killer of his uncle and rescues people from every kind of situation. His nemesis, Norman Osborn [Willem Defoe], is working on a performance enhancer for the military, along with armor and a one-man armed glilder for the battlefield. Norman tests the enhancer on himself, ognoring warnings by his lead researcher, that he could go insane, as a lab rat did, when tested. He soon discovers he's become a Jekyl/Hyde personality, as he terrorizes the city and its people. Thus begins the age-old tale of good vs.evil. This Edited version has been provided and edited by
