While many films made for kids typically paint them as misunderstood and their parents as unintelligent and uninterested, “Minors” digs deeper to show how families can actually care for one another. Yes, the kids get into trouble without parental authority to guide them, but these youngsters band together not to take advantage of the adults but rather to seek out one of their own who has been removed from the group.
As the kids and adults chase each other around an airport, they learn that each has a reason for their actions. In the end, all come together and exhibit attitudes of respect and reconciliation on Christmas morning.
