Runaway Jury – Edited

From master storyteller John Grisham and the director of Don't Say A Word comes a taut suspense-triller that "grabs hold of you and never lets go" (Philadelphia Metro).

In their first film together, screen legend Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman face off in this electrigying nail-biter about a ruthless jury consultant who'll do anythin to win. With lives and millions of dollars at stake, the fixer plays a deadly cat-and-mouse game with a jury member (John Cusack) and a mysterious woman (Rachel Weisz) who offer to "deliver" the verdict to the highest bidder. Packed with danger, intrigue and pulse-pounding twists and turns, Runaway Jury rules!

Dove Review

I can’t believe Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman have not made a film together before this one. They are both wonderful actors who perform well in “Runaway Jury” and they make fit adversaries. This movie is an awesome portrayal of how our judicial system has gone astray with jury consultants, win-at-all costs attitudes and ignoring getting at the truth. This tells an exciting story about jury selections, and how they are selected today and the high stakes of lawsuits against big business interests. I found this film a fascinating, but disturbing glimpse into our judiciall system and how perverted it can be or already has become. There are suspensful elements throughout the film and a great twist at the end. This edited version is recommended for a 12+ age group.
