High School Musical 3: Senior Year

Synopsis
Disney’s “High School Musical” phenomenon leaps onto the big screen in “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”, in which America’s favorite high school students (Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman) hit senior year. Amidst a basketball championship, prom and a big spring musical featuring all of the Wildcats, Troy and Gabriella vow to make every moment last as their lifelong college dreams put the future of their relationship in question. A crew of sophomore Wildcats (Matt Prokop, Justin Martin and Jemma McKenzie-Brown) joins in the fun as the film’s incredible new music and exciting dance numbers take maximum advantage of the big screen.
Dove Review
The kids and parents I screened this movie with loved it. The girls really like the lead actor, Zac Efron, who portrays Troy Bolton in the movie. The film is a rousing, rollicking, energetic experience. It is nice also to view a film about high school seniors that can be seen by the entire family.
Although the story obviously is a bit fantasy, a bit melodrama, some nice themes are featured, like having to choose between a couple of career paths, loyalty in romance when miles are placed between a couple, and rivalries. There are a couple of senior girls who both want the same role in the high school musical, which makes for an interesting plot line.
Other than some mild content listed below, this film is a wholesome experience for teens everywhere. Even some parents will find themselves smiling, no doubt as they reflect on their own high school days. We gladly award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to this film.
